RULES & INFORMATIONS
We built The Place to feel relaxed, social, and genuinely welcoming, for our guests, our neighbors, and our team.
A few simple rules keep it that way for everyone.
REGISTRATION:
For everyone’s safety, all guests and their visitors must register at the front desk before entering the property.
Unregistered visitors may be asked to leave.
At check-in, please bring a valid passport or ID: we may need to verify the details and send a copy to the Tourism Department of Cambodia.
CANCELLATION:
Plans change? Just let us know at least 24 hours before arrival and there’s no fee.
Cancellations or no-shows within 24 hours are charged in full.
We’re not able to offer refunds for early departure.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT:
Check-in is from 2:00 pm, check-out before 11:00 am.
You must be 18 or older to check in.
Early check-in is not guaranteed and may carry a small charge before 11:00 am; late check-out is billed per day.
Payment for your full stay is due at check-in.
PAYMENT:
Every guest pays at check-in.
If you can’t pay right away, we’ll hold your passport as a deposit.
We accept cash (USD or Riel, at $1 = 4,000 KHR), card (Visa/Mastercard, +3% fee), and bank transfer (KHQR or Revolut QR — no fee).
EXTRA GUESTS & BEDS:
Need an extra bed, or has your group grown?
Additional guests are charged per person, per night – subject to availability, which we can’t always guarantee.
DAMAGED AND LOST PROPERTY:
We ask you to treat the space like you’d want it treated.
Guests are responsible for damage or loss caused by them or their visitors during their stay, including stains that mean linens or towels cannot be reused (makeup, marker, blood, oil, hair dye), these will be billed at cost.
SMOKING:
All indoor spaces are non-smoking, including rooms and dorms; smoking is fine in our designated outdoor areas.
Smoking in a room comes with a $100 cleaning and deodorizing fee.
ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION:
Alcohol is welcome in our lounge and bar area, where we sell it, just not in rooms or dorms.
KEEPING IT DRUG-FREE:
We’re a drug-free property.
This isn’t negotiable: anyone using or holding illegal substances will be asked to leave immediately, and, as required by Cambodian law, the matter will be handed to local authorities.
We work closely with local authorities to keep our guests, staff, and property safe.
GOOD VIBES, NO PARTY:
The Place is social and easygoing, not a party hostel, that’s by design.
Quiet hours run from 10 pm to 8 am, and we don’t allow group gatherings in private rooms.
Want to hang out with other travelers?
Our common areas and bar are exactly built for that.
RESPECT, ALWAYS:
Everyone here: guests, visitors, staff, deserves to feel comfortable and safe.
Loud, aggressive, or disruptive behavior isn’t tolerated, and may result in being asked to leave without refund.
If our team has to step in overnight to resolve a problem you’ve caused, a service fee of $25–$100 may apply.
PETS:
All animals are strictly prohibited inside the rooms.
If this rule is broken, we’ll ask you to make other arrangements and a cleaning fee will apply.
